Brisbane’s Art Boat

September 2 – 24

The internationally acclaimed visual artist Lindy Lee’s work will be displayed on Brisbane’s Art Boat when it makes a triumphant comeback.

Brisbane’s Art Boat is home to the most distinctive on-water bar and a carefully curated performance schedule. It includes an atmospheric soundscape created by Shannon Ruska, managing director of Tribal Experiences and a Yuggera and Turrbal man, and a specially commissioned sound piece by Lawrence English. Daniel Anderzipf also created the lighting for Lindy Lee’s magnificent exhibit.

Brisbane’s Art Boat will participate in morning and midnight trips and a mindfulness program this year. Throughout the festival, Brisbane’s Art Boat will operate. Also, there are two departure points.

The first is in Northshore in Maritime Green 147B MacArthur Ave. All ticket holders must show up at the time specified on their tickets. The second is in South Bank at 410 Stanley St. The boat is close to South Bank Piazza and BOQ Festival Garden.

The most spectacular night of the year returns as it lights up Brisbane Festival on its opening weekend!

On Saturday, September 3, Riverfire by the Australian Retirement Trust marks the beginning of the Brisbane Festival. As Foti Fireworks launches its sparkling and thrilling pyrotechnics display from bridges, barges, and roofs around the city, the heavens will burst with joy and celebration.

Tiddas – World Premiere

September 5 – 24

It seems natural to analyse one other’s lives; they value honesty above all else. Do best friends not share everything? However, each woman hides a complicated secret, and suddenly, everything falls apart one weekend.

Tiddas is a theatrical adaptation of the best-selling book by Anita Heiss, under the direction of Nadine McDonald-Dowd. Tiddas was adapted by Heiss for the stage, exposing Izzy, Veronica, Xanthe, Nadine, and Ellen to Brisbane audiences for the first time.

Midnight Moonlight Cruise

September 10

Northshore, Brisbane

Travel at midnight on Brisbane’s Art Boat with soul-pop singer Akosia and exceptional guest artists for a genuine one-of-a-kind experience as the full moon shines brightly over the city on September 10.

Immerse yourself in The Spheres, an installation of sculpture, light, and sound by the famous visual artist Lindy Lee, which promises to be a celebration of harmony and joy as well as a symphony of connection and inclusiveness.

This full moon on the Brisbane River with art, music, light and the celestial splendour of the moon is an experience you shouldn’t miss.
