Brisbane Festival returns with a program that’s bigger and better than ever before!
Art, performance and experiences to remember. That’s what the annual Brisbane Festival is all about and it returns for THREE WEEKS this September.
We all missed it last year but it’s back with a brand new program involving outdoor art installations, live entertainment, special guest talks and more – including the unmissable SUNSUPER RIVERFIRE fireworks finale.
Events are ticketed as well as FREE, with something for all ages and tastes. Venues will include Brisbane City Hall, Brisbane Powerhouse, The Tivoli, Queensland Theatre, QPAC (Queensland Performing Arts Centre, South Bank Piazza and many more.
What’s on, then? Well, just some of the festival events to look forward to is Lord Mayor’s City Hall Concerts – a free concert series at Brisbane City Hall – Street Serenades, which will see various live performances pop up all over the city (Boy & Bear, Christine Anu, Montaigne plus more), and Sunsuper Riverfire on the closing night.
And if there’s one event on the program that you shouldn’t miss, it’s that final night! The explosive Riverfire finale will feature fireworks launching spectacularly from Brisbane’s bridges and rooftops, as well as barges on the Brisbane River, with live music and jaw-dropping aerial feats from Royal Australian Air Force and The Roulettes – you don’t want to miss it.
All in all, Brisbane Festival will bring Brisbane to life for three whole weeks and there isn’t a better time to head to the city.
