Do you plan on visiting Brisbane this year? You might want to include these fantastic festivals in your itinerary.

Brisbane Festival

From September 2 to 24, the Brisbane Festival will take place. Prepare to be dazzled as the Brisbane Festival transforms the city into a blaze of colour with artistic performances and events that honour the city.

The Warana Festival, which had been ongoing since 1961, gave birth to Brisbane Festival, making it the most anticipated event. It pulls people together because the festival explodes arts performances and experiences, redefining what an International Arts Festival looks and feels like.

There is a variety of activities going on, but these are event highlights you shouldn’t miss.

  • Brisbane’s Art Boat: The Art Boat comes to Brisbane for a spectacular floating art experience featuring internationally acclaimed visual artist Lindy Lee’s work.
  • Riverfire by Australian Retirement Trust: On Saturday, September 3, mark your calendars for the most stunning night as Riverfire by Australian Retirement Trust kicks off Brisbane Festival. Foti Fireworks will launch their sparkling and exhilarating fireworks display from bridges, barges, and roofs across the city, bursting open the skies with excitement and celebration.
  • Tiddas: Five women, best friends for decades, gather once a month to talk about books, life, love, and the jagged pieces in between in this page-to-stage adaptation of Anita Heiss’s best-selling novel.
  • Midnight Moonlight Cruise: Float away at midnight with soul-pop vocalist Akosia and exceptional guest artists onboard Brisbane’s Art Boat as the full Harvest Moon sheds its beautiful light over Brisbane on September 10.

Brisbane Vegan Expo

On September 17 and 18, the Brisbane Vegan Expo will return. Shop your favourite vegan goods and products while listening to guest speakers. Learn a few tricks from our cooking demonstrations and enjoy the most excellent plant-based dishes you’ve ever tasted!

Brisbane Vegan Expo guest speakers will also share their expertise. They will share how you can adopt a more ecologically responsible lifestyle to the health benefits of a vegan diet. Various shopping outlets, including clothes, skincare, household products, healthcare, gardening, and lifestyle, will also be available. So remember to bring your shopping bag to The Marquee & Sideshow Alley, Brisbane Showgrounds.
